THIS WEEK'S RESET IDEA
Why is My House Always Mess?
Hello, Reader.
I think we've all been sold a load of poo! π©
- First in checkout magazines that show perfectly kept rooms all sparkly and immaculate.
- Then on TV with hour-long makeover shows, that in reality take WAY more time to complete...and even then, the "afters" are just a blip in time.
- And now boldly in our faces every single day when we open up Pinterest or Instagram and see aesthetic, color coordinated containers inside EVERY SINGLE drawer and closet, with zero piles in sight.
That's not real life, though, mama.
Real life houses get messy.
And how can they not, with people living and breathing and coming and going all the time?
ππ» That used to frustrate the heck out of me! (If I'm being honest, occassionally, it still does. What can I say? I'm so not perfect.)
But then I realized that the point really isn't a perfect-all-the-time house...it's a house that can be returned to a calm, happy baseline in a very short period of time.
And that becomes possible when a house is not full of too much stuff, has well thought out homes for things and at least semi-consistent routines in place.
